CTS - Deferrals Form

This form is for Commonwealth Teaching Scholarships (CTS) Program recipients who are requesting a deferral of their scholarship funding and/or obligations due to exceptional circumstances.

As stated in the Scholarship Guidelines, requests for deferrals will be considered by the Department on a case-by-case basis. 

Please note, this form is not to be used to request a deferral of studies. Recipients who complete this form must already have approval from their higher education provider (HEP) to defer their studies and upload this approval documentation to the form before submitting it to the CTS Program Team. HEP approval of a deferral of studies does not guarantee approval of the request for deferral of the scholarship. 

Before requesting a deferral, please ensure that you have read the relevant policies, which can be found in the resources section of the CTS website at www.education.gov.au/teaching-scholarships.

Please note, documents uploaded to this form must be in PDF, JPEG or PNG format. Documents should be labelled as instructed in the form and should always include your CTS ID.
